Kinnan backyard before Pepper Farms

Last summer, we were working on Scenic Valley Drive in West Des Moines, and the neighbor from across the street came over
and told us he liked what we were doing and wanted Dave to look at his situation.

His lawn had originally been sodded, and it was way too shady for the Turfgrass varieties that make up all of the sod grown in Iowa,
so Dave suggested that after some landscape repair, the lawn should be reseeded with "shady" cultivars. Still, the prime time for seeding had passed.

Forward to this season. Dave and our crew came in and did the needed landscape repair and then reseeded the backyard.
After seeding, they incorporated the seed and rolled the entire lawn to obtain perfect seed-to-soil contact.

Then we installed an erosion blanket which will be beneficial to the homeowner in two significant ways.
First, it will hold the hillside during rains, and secondly, it will lessen watering requirements dramatically due to the blanket keeping the soil moist.

Everything went well. Our customer is pleased and can hardly wait to see their new backyard lawn!!!
