Ames, Iowa

Our customer on Dawes Drive in Ames, Iowa was experiencing water in basement under their deck. There was a backslope (grade sloped TOWARDS the foundation) under the deck. APlus Skidloader removed deck boards and steps. We installed a vertical rubber membrane on the upper portion of the foundation, brought in soil under the deck and  then corrected the slope so the water would flow OUT away from the foundation.

We then installed a horizontal rubber membrane Over the proper grade but under the deck joints, and replaced the deck boards. Now the area under the deck will not have pooling water, and will shed water AWAY from the basement. The rubber membranes will prevent any rainwater that gets under the deck from soaking in.

We are the only central Iowa company that does this without totally removing the deck. We can normally do it this way for 20% or less than the cost of removing and reinstalling the deck.
